LGMDA Salutes Irv Librett,
Founder of Arett Sales
Irv Librett, founder of Arett Sales, was recognized for his contributions to the lawn and garden industry with the Lawn & Garden Marketing and Distribution Association’s (LGMDA) Lifetime Achievement Award at the LGMDA's 2008 Summit.

His daughter, Mauri Librett, Vice President, Marketing with Arett Sales Corp. accepted the award for her father, who passed away in 1988, the year he was to become president of LGMDA. Mr. Librett began his career in the distribution industry in 1962 after working for almost ten years in his family’s thriving retail hardware business. He started Arett Sales of New Jersey to distribute lawn and garden supplies to customers in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware markets. In 1986 the company bought Arett Sales of New Rochelle, NY, and together they became Arett Sales Corp.
